Onset about 1 month old:

Regression (loss of milestones)
Weight below 3rd %ile (underweight, failure to thrive, FTT, SGA)
Irritability to auditory, tactile, or visual stimuli, pronounced
Lethargy or extreme drowsiness
Dysphagia (swallowing difficulty, oropharyngeal incoordination)
Hypotonia (low muscle tone)
Weakness, significant (plegia or paresis)
Motor developmental delay (motor retardation)
Reflexes absent (areflexia) or decreased (hyporeflexia)
CSF protein high
