Become an Editor
SimulConsult is recruiting senior clinicians who wish to get involved editing new and existing information. The position is paid. We are currently focused on recruiting for the neurology module.
- The applicant must be a senior clinician in neurology or genetics comfortable with reading and interpreting (often conflicting) descriptions and data in various articles. An interest in improving the resources available to practitioners and the process of diagnosis is obviously helpful. By personality, the applicant should be organized, good at assessing clinical information and comfortable with web-based applications.
- Before applying, we request that you watch the demo videos and register for the software, or use it through the institutional access at many medical centers, and see how it does on some of the cases. Choose cases that fit with your area of expertise, but remember that the database is not yet fleshed out well in many areas such as adult and non-genetic diseases. Exploring the advanced mode of the software and clicking into the database part of the program will give a good sense of the work required and your “fit” with the requirements for the position.
- In addition, all editors are required to start by contributing some material so as to become familiar with the process to be overseen.
- Please send inquiries by email to SimulConsult, with a CV and brief description of your interest in the position.
